The Twitter-based scavenger hunt that took San Francisco by storm has made its way to Brooklyn, and some residents are a little bit richer because of it.

The Twitter account, @HiddenCash, tweeted a picture this afternoon with clues as to where people could find 19 envelopes of cash. Not long after, several people posted tweets after finding the money in Prospect Park.

News 12 spoke to one man who says he found an envelope with $50 in cash and a silver coin inside. It was right next to a tree in the southwest corner of the park.

The whole idea behind the public game is to get the lucky finders to pay it forward and to do something nice for someone else. The man who found the $50 says he will give the money to someone in need.

It was the only day the cash would be hidden in Brooklyn, according to the Twitter account.
