There likely won't be a white Christmas this year, according to forecasts.
Instead, the region is seeing warmer temperatures and heavy rain.
Brooklyn residents said Thursday they're OK with the warmer weather, even though drivers faced slick roads and pedestrians had to avoid a few puddles.
"The snow makes such a mess -- the rain is better," said Ruby Martin, a Bed-Stuy resident. "People don't have to worry about digging out their cars."
News 12 meteorologists predicted steady rain throughout the day with highs reaching the upper 50s and lows in the uppers 40s overnight.
Friday's forecast showed clearer skies and temperatures in the same range until dropping at night into the mid 30s.
