Family and friends are mourning the death of a U.S. Marine from Park Slope who was killed over the weekend in Afghanistan.
According to the Department of Defense, Lance Cpl. Julian Brennan, 25, died Saturday while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Brennan was an artist who graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He composed music, sang and produced his own songs. He also enjoyed acting on stage.
On his MySpace Web page, Brennan described himself as a guy who would go out of his way to make someone laugh.
Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz sent his condolences to the family of the fallen Marine.
