The United States Postal Services says mail delivery is now operational for customers living in the 11235 zip code.

In a statement, the USPS said in part, "Retail services remain closed. We still haven't been able to release Post Office Box mail yet and would like to remind people that Monday is a postal holiday, so reduced access would be the norm."

Mail was delayed after a fire started on the second floor of the U.S. Postal Service building in Sheepshead Bay.
