A Brooklyn artist's Facebook post has gone viral in response to another artist's comments that suggested children hold women back.
In an interview with a German newspaper, performance artist Marina Abramovic said she had three abortions because having children would have been a "disaster for her work."
In response, Hein Koh posted a picture of herself breastfeeding her twins while hard at work on her laptop.
"All Marina knows is her own experience, and it may be true for her, but that is not everyone's experience nor truth," she wrote in the post.
The post has garnered thousands of likes and reactions. It has also been shared over 1,700 times.
Koh told News 12 the reason she thinks it resonated with so many people is because of how it celebrates what is usually an overlooked everyday setting.
"I'm not saying that any other mom should be living their lives the way I do," she says. " I'm just doing the best I can."
