With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Inez Barron won the Democratic nod for the 40th Assembly District seat.
Barron, who took 43 percent of the vote, is hoping to replace Diane Gordon who was convicted of taking bribes. Gordon was caught off camera offering a contractor city-owned land in exchange for building her half-million dollar home.Click here for 40th Assembly District results.
Meanwhile, Republicans and Democrats in the 13th Congressional District chose the candidates they would like to see replace Rep. Vito Fossella. Fossella stepped aside after a drunken driving arrest led to revelations that he'd fathered a child with a woman who was not his wife.
