A Bronx man is dead after investigators say a fire ignited in his apartment and spread due to clutter along the floor and walls. The fire broke out this morning on West 234th Street in Wakefield. The 65-year-old victim, Tyril Royer, lived there with his wife and adult daughter, both of whom escaped unharmed. Fire officials say the home was filled with waist-deep contents that burned easily and made it difficult for them to navigate. Investigators believe the fire started in the foyer.
