When a Gravesend bridal shop abruptly closed last month, it left some bridesmaids waiting for dresses that never came.
Customers of Isabella's Wedding Center on Coney Island Avenue say the store shut down without contacting them.
Lisa Fiorenza's seven bridesmaids spent $200 each on dresses that should have been delivered at the end of December, leaving plenty of time for alterations before her April wedding. But when they called the shop to check on their order, they found the number disconnected.
When they came to the shop in person, they say the gates were locked and the store was empty.
News 12 tried to track down the owner, Isabella Gleyzer, at two of her listed addresses but could not locate her.
Some of the bridesmaids say they are trying to get their money back through their credit card companies, but say they may have to resort to small claims court.
Fiorenza says she bought her wedding dress somewhere else.
