While the summer is coming to an end, officials are warning that the West Nile virus threat is far from over.
Officials say 16 cases of West Nile virus have been reported citywide. That is an increase from 2011, when 11 cases were reported all year.
The symptoms of West Nile include fever, headache and body ache. People can help reduce the chance of catching the mosquito-borne virus by removing any standing water they may have around their homes.
