Tenants in one Williamsbridge building awoke to find no running water in their kitchens this Presidents Day.
One resident claims he knows why the water in the Dekalb Avenue building was turned off. He says it's punishment for overflowing his washing machine into the apartment below him.
The apartment that was affected by the overflow was rented by a friend of the superintendent, he says.
Residents say that the building's management sent a letter a few days after the incident ordering them to remove all washing machines, but tenants say that's a stipulation they didn't know about until they got the letter.
News 12 The Bronx tried to contact the superintendent and the building's management company, but they were unavailable.
