Witnesses say an alleged kidnapper was injured in Bedford-Stuyvesant Sunday evening after crashing his SUV in an attempted getaway.
They say the driver of the SUV tried to abduct a 20-year-old woman two blocks down from Howard Avenue, the site of the crash.
When a good Samaritan saw what was going on and intervened, the man allegedly got into his car and raced down Howard Avenue. The man lost control at the intersection of Howard Avenue and Madison Street, and crashed into the side of a building, totaling his car and two parked cars along the way.
The driver was taken to a nearby hospital. There is no word on his condition.
The woman he supposedly tried to grab was questioned by police.
