A woman is claiming a Flatbush groomer abused her dog, but the manager is denying any wrongdoing.
Belinda Gardner says that her dog returned from Puppy Paradise earlier this week with a bloody eye and sores on his body.
Manager David Dietz says the eye issue stemmed from stress, but a veterinarian's diagnosis was hyphema, usually caused by eye trauma.
Dietz says Gardner signed a release that allowed groomers to do their job, despite any issues that may arise from the dog barking or biting. It also warned of the possibility of skin rashes or irritation.
Puppy Paradise claims they used three handlers due to the dog being in "difficult condition," and that two were bitten in the process.
Gardner wished that Puppy Paradise had told her of her dog's apparent behavior, and that she wouldn't return, despite the shop's willingness for her to return.
Gardner is now contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Humane Society, and has filed a complaint with 311.
