The New York Yankees defeated the Los Angeles Angels 5-0 as they returned to The Bronx for their 110th home opener.
The Bronx Bombers were led by Alex Rodriguez, who hit his 630th career home run and tied Ken Griffey Jr. on the MLB all-time home run list.
Yankees favorite Jorge Posada threw the first pitch and was honored with the Pride of the Yankees award.
