An 11-year-old Brooklyn rapper is speaking up about social issues with the hope of inspiring others.

DJ Annie Red, from Bedford-Stuyvesant, is rapping from the New York City streets all the way to the Barclays Center.

The kid resident DJ for the Brooklyn Nets has faced her own adversity.

"Bullying was where I started, because I've been bullied myself ...because of my voice, so I thought it was super important," she says.

The seventh grader also raps about the census and the importance of staying safe and being considerate amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"You're never too young to make a change, like everyone has their voice... and they can use their talent to affect everyone.. and when everyone works together, we make the world better," she says.
