Hundreds of kids flocked to Boerum Hill for a chance to meet Mr. Met.
The New York Mets' famous mascot has been visiting campers of the YMCA summer program for four years, according to YMCA Director of Youth and Family, Frankie Barrietta.
"Because the stadium is in Queens, a lot of these kids don't have the capacity to get to a game," Barretta said. "So in the beginning of the summer we take them to a real game and then at the end of the summer they get a personal visit with Mr. Met."
Mr. Met told News 12 that this is one of his favorite events of the year.
