A youth LGBTQ summit was held in Brooklyn Heights for teens in search of services and information.
The summit provided an opportunity for teens to connect on issues including job-readiness, finding LGBTQ-friendly colleges, health and self-empowerment.
The event, held at St. Francis College, was organized by Hetrick-Martin Institute, the nation's oldest and largest LGBTQ nonprofit.
Organizers say the summit's main goal was to show youths that they are not alone.
