Police have confirmed that they arrested a man in connection with the mass tire slashings in Sheepshead Bay.
After 70 or more cars had their tires punctured early Sunday morning, police arrested 21-year-old Eduard Ivashcenko. He is being held at the 61st Precinct.
Police say they are searching for two other suspects caught on a surveillance tape causing the damage. They say the three struck multiple blocks from Quentin Road to Avenue S and East 17th Street to Bedford Avenue.
Ivashcenko is being charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and criminal mischief in the third degree.
