Police say they were forced to open fire on a suspect during a prostitution sting last night.
Officials say an undercover officer was posing as a prostitute on the corner of Hamilton Avenue and West Ninth Street when four men approached the officer and solicited sex. They say the officer moved in to arrest the suspects, but 22-year-old Tyjuan Hill attempted to escape.
Officers attempted to subdue Hill and used pepper-spray on him. According to investigators, a sergeant shot Hill in the head when the suspect drew a handgun.
Officials say the three other suspects have been taken into custody. The sergeant has been placed on desk duty pending an investigation.
