One person is in serious condition at Methodist Hospital Sunday after a shooting in a Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
A person who lives near the scene of the shooting at 130 Lefferts Place says he believes he heard gunshots around 5:30 a.m., although that has not been officially confirmed.
Some neighbors say they were shocked to learn about the shooting and describe their neighborhood as a safe and quiet place to raise a family.
Others, however, say shootings happens far too often.
