E-bike rider fatally struck by ambulance in Fort Greene

The NYPD says the vehicle hit 65-year-old Ray Wilkerson Lynwood just after 1 a.m. on Ashland Place and Willoughby Street.

An e-bike rider was fatally struck by an FDNY ambulance early Sunday morning in Fort Greene.

The NYPD says the vehicle hit 65-year-old Ray Wilkerson Lynwood just after 1 a.m. on Ashland Place and Willoughby Street. Directly across from Brooklyn Hospital's parking garage.

He was pronounced dead at another hospital.

The FDNY ambulance was driven by a 21-year-old first responder. A 28-year-old EMT and a 29-year-old EMT were also aboard at the time.

All three were hospitalized in stable condition.
