One man is dead and another is recovering after an overnight shooting in East New York that stretched police activity across several locations.

Police say it happened around 12:10 a.m. in the area of 503 Euclid Ave.

Investigators taped off multiple spots along the block — including outside a nearby deli, a residential building on Euclid Avenue and parts of the Euclid Avenue subway station — as they worked to piece together what happened.

Authorities say 24-year-old Jarell Sutton was shot in the chest inside one of the locations. EMS rushed him to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Another 24-year-old man was shot in the foot. Police say he made it to the hospital by private means and is listed in stable condition.

Right now, investigators say it’s unclear whether the two men knew each other.

No arrests have been made, and police have not released a description of who they are looking for. The identity of the man who died is being withheld until his family is notified.

The investigation remains ongoing.
