The NYPD says a 73-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint Saturday morning.

It happened around 8:40 a.m. inside 1938 Rockaway Parkway.

The woman was approached by a man who forcibly removed her cellphone while pushing her to the ground, authorities say.

The suspect then kicked the woman while she was on the ground, pointed a gun at her and made a verbal threat.

The victim was treated for her injuries by EMS on scene and is expected to be OK.

Police say the man responsible ran from the scene traveling southbound on Rockaway Parkway.
