Police say one person has died and another was critically injured following a trench collapse at a Bushwick construction site this morning.

The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. Police responded to a collapsed trench at 174 Jefferson St.

Two male construction workers fell and were trapped after the ground gave way.

Both were transported to local hospitals where one died and the other is listed in critical condition.
