An 11-year-old boy is accused of torching a school bus parked outside of a Jewish high school.
The fire broke out Sunday outside the Beth Rivkah School for Girls on Crown Street in Crown Heights around 6 p.m.
Surveillance video shows multiple boys running onto the bus with what appears to be cardboard boxes.
Police say the boys used a pizza box to start the fire and left it to burn on the empty bus. They say they used a Bic lighter to ignite the flames.
They say the teens are not connected to the school, but are known for setting buses on fire in the area.
Police arrested the 11-year-old, who is facing arson and criminal mischief charges. They say they are looking for the other accomplices.
A spokesperson for the local Shomrim says the children initially told police they didn't light the fire and police let them go.
He says when police saw the surveillance video they realized those children were responsible.
Investigators tell News 12 that the incident was a deliberate attack on the Jewish community and that there will be more arrests.
