14,000 new accounts opened following Jay-Z hip-hop celebration at Brooklyn Public Library

The limited-edition Jay-Z library cards led to thousands of new library accounts at the Brooklyn Public Library, officials say.
The Brooklyn Public Library and Jay-Z's record label Roc Nation released 13 limited edition library cards featuring artwork from his albums to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.
The initiative led to 14,000 new library accounts. Linda Johnson, the library's president and CEO, says that this highlights the artist's impact on the community.
The Jay-Z-themed library cards are available for free for New York state residents.
