15-year-old charged with robbery, assault in Flatbush

Police say a 25-year-old man was approached by three people while riding a northbound 5 train at the Church Avenue station on April 29.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a violent robbery that occurred inside a Flatbush subway station.

Police say a 25-year-old man was approached by three people while riding a northbound 5 train at the Church Avenue station on April 29.

They began to punch him in the face repeatedly before taking his backpack and fleeing the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

Police confirmed that the teen was apprehended on Monday. The other two suspects are still on the run.
