16-year-old boy stabbed multiple times inside Rev. T. Wendell Foster Park

It happened just before 6:45 p.m. near 1055 Jerome Ave. The victim and a witness ran from the scene after the attack and made it about half of a mile before the teen collapsed on the Grand Concourse.

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times inside of Rev. T. Wendell Foster Park on Saturday evening, according to the NYPD.

It happened just before 6:45 p.m. near 1055 Jerome Ave.

The victim and a witness ran from the scene after the attack and made it about half of a mile before the teen collapsed on the Grand Concourse.

Police say the victim suffered multiple stab wounds to the back.

A group of around 10 people were involved in the assault, according to the NYPD.

Investigators say a knife was recovered at the scene.

A description of the person, or people, responsible - and what led up to the attack - was not immediately known.

No arrests have been made as of Saturday night.
