17-year-old arrested in connection to death of 1-day-old baby, police say

Police have arrested a 17-year-old girl in connection to the death of a 1-day-old baby back in October in the Bronx.

Police have arrested a 17-year-old girl in connection to the death of a 1-day-old baby back in October in the Bronx.
According to the NYPD, officers responded to an assault inside of 234 East 149th St. at NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln. Police found the 17-year-old female who stated she had previously given birth to a boy inside of her apartment on East 158th Street.
Police say investigation findings revealed suspect had discarded the newborn out of her fifth floor apartment window into a flowerbed in the front of the building.
The 1-day-old boy was found dead at the scene.
Police arrested the 17-year-old suspect Thursday. She has been charged with murder and manslaughter.
