Police say an 18-year-old boy was chased by a group of people and then stabbed in the back and hip on Monday. Sources say he was stabbed with a machete.
Video obtained by News 12 shows people running and being followed by others, one holding what appears to be a machete.
Police say around 5:10 p.m. Monday, the 18-year-old was chased by a group of at least five people and stabbed near 42nd Street and 12th Avenue. They say he's expected to be OK.
People in the area said the details are shocking.
"I mean, I don't want to walk down the block and someone come and stab me in the back, that's scary," said one resident.
Police say they've arrested a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old boy in connection to the incident. Both are facing assault, gang assault, and criminal possession of a weapon charges.
