Cops are searching for the person who they say fatally shot an 18-year-old in Morris Heights Thursday night.
According to police, Tashawn Murray was killed outside a playground on Nelson Avenue at around 9 p.m., less than a mile from his home. They say he was found with two gunshot wounds to the arm and one to the back.
Officials say Murray had been playing basketball and got into a fight with another player prior to his death. They believe that player is responsible for the shooting.
Family members say they're creating a small memorial for Murray while they try to raise funds for a funeral.
