A 19-year-old man was indicted with first-degree murder for the shooting death of 9-year-old Sequoya Bacon-Jones.
Isiah Roberts, of Trenton, is also charged with three counts of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree aggravated assault , fourth-degree aggravated assault and second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun.
He is being held in the Mercer County Correction Center pending trial.
Bacon-Jones was fatally struck by a stray bullet outside her home at the Kingsbury Square apartment complex on March 25.
Officials say Bacon-Jones was playing outside at 7:30 p.m. when the gunfire broke out. She was shot once and taken to a New Brunswick hospital where she later died.
