Officials say a two-alarm fire damaged three homes and destroyed a business in Canarsie Tuesday night.

Huegette Jean-Baptiste, whose apartment and beauty salon were both ravaged by the fire, says she is thankful her family and neighbors escaped the flames, but is devastated her shop was destroyed. Jean-Baptiste says she hopes her insurance will help rebuild the salon.

The Red Cross says it is housing several families who were displaced.
