FDNY officials responded to a call Saturday night of a 2-alarm fire that broke out across multiple residences at 2822 Brighton 8th Street just after 8:24 pm.
Residents tell News 12 they heard knocking on their doors from residents of the third and fourth floor, warning them that a fire had broken out overhead.
"I heard a knock on my door and they said 'fire fire get out get down'," said one witness.
The fire prompted a response that shut down traffic with 25 units and 106 fire and EMS personnel on the scene.
The fire was extinguished around 9:30 p.m., with no injuries reported, according to officials.
