Two schools in Brooklyn have transitioned to remote learning after a rise in positive cases.
P.S. 207 in Marine Park and P.S. 188 in Coney Island have transitioned to fully remote for 10 days.
As of July 22, the Department of Education reported 41 positive COVID cases in the city. Half of those cases were reported to be students and the other half staff.
That brings the total number of students infected since September of 2020 to over 14,000. Currently, 153 classrooms remain closed across the city.
