Two teens spent their Thanksgiving giving back to their community, volunteering at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Thursday. 15-year-olds Giuliana, and Angelina have spent the last three years packing turkey dinners, clearing plates and interacting with members of the community. “We're able to just help people out especially during the holiday season," says Angelina. Both of the teens' parents say it was the girl's idea to begin volunteering. “They had been asking for a long time to volunteer in different places, they wanted to get over their social anxiety, so they definitely took all the steps to find the places they wanted to volunteer in," said Jessica Aviles, Angelina's Mom. Their giving spirit shows through their nonprofit, Care 2 Create, which they began 4 years ago when they were just 11 years old. “We raise awareness for homeless outreach and the less fortunate," says Angelina.
