Two Maimonides Medical Center employees were arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing patients' identities to open online retail accounts.Police say the two suspects were both working as information specialists while racking up credit card purchases under patients' names. Maimonides released a statement Thursday stating that it is in the process of determining how many people were affected by the scam. The hospital also plans to contact each affected individual by mail.The hospital urges people who believe that they are a victim of the identity scam to call a hotline at (718) 283-7212.
