2 people rescued from mangled cars after crash in Sheepshead Bay

Three cars collided just after 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at East 27th Street and Voorhies Avenue.

Firefighters rescued two people from their mangled cars after a crash in Sheepshead Bay, the FDNY says.

Three cars collided just after 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at East 27th Street and Voorhies Avenue.

Citizen app footage shows a BMW SUV smashed into a Lexus SUV as fire crews work their way in between the cars. A damaged gray sedan is seen pushed up against the Lexus, and debris, scattered in the road.

A witness tells News 12 she saw firefighters pull a woman out of one of the cars.

Fire officials say EMS rushed the two victims to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn.

The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.
