Two men arrested in connection to deadly assault in Bushwick

Police say that two people were violently robbed in Coney Island on Saturday.

The incident happened just after midnight on Mermaid Avenue and West 21st Street. Four people went up to a 49-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman and punched them in the face and body. They also slashed the woman in the torso and stabbed the man in the back before taking the man’s wallet.

EMS took the victims to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn and are expected to recover.
