Two commercial passenger jets were searched at JFK International Airport this afternoon after an anonymous caller claimed there were explosives aboard, authorities say.
A search of the planes turned up nothing. The Port Authority says its police force received the threats regarding a Finnair flight and an American Airlines flight at around 4:30 p.m.
Both landed without incident. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ordered the two jets to go to a secure area on the grounds while authorities searched the planes.
Authorities are now investigating.
