An overnight fire out of Prospect Lefferts Garden destroyed an apartment building in Brooklyn, according to officials.
Firefighters responded to the 292 Hawthorne St. building to extinguish the flames. The building appears to be a mixed use building with a deli on the first floor and apartments above it. There is a vacate order on the door, so it’ll likely be a while before anyone’s allowed back inside.
Two people were injured and taken to a hospital to recover.
It's unclear how the fire started.
