An East New York man has been sentenced to 30 years to life for the 2015 murder of 32-year-old Chris Tennison.

Keith Brannon, 55, tried to rob the victim outside of a homeless shelter in Brownsville, which led to Brannon fatally shooting Tennison in the chest.

Brannon was convicted back in 2017, but the case was reversed on appeal due to judicial error. The retrial revealed more proof of the murder, and detectives even went to Poland to bring a key witness to testify.
