New Yorkers commuting through Brooklyn may experience some inconvenience this upcoming weekend, as the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway will be closed for construction work.  

“Reality is that it’s going to be inconvenient,” said Department of Transportation commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez. “We realize it, we recognize it, but work has to be done. It’s a top priority for everyone for the BQE to continue keeping safe.” 

The highway will close on 2 a.m. Saturday and will reopen at 4 a.m. on Monday.
