A young girl was struck by a moped as she was leaving a store Thursday in Midwood, police say.

Investigators say a 29-year-old man was driving on the sidewalk when he hit a 12-year-old girl outside of the store at 1542 Coney Island Ave.

The young girl did not sustain any serious injuries and did not need medical attention.
