Police say they're looking for two men after a Wednesday shooting in Soundview hospitalized a young man.

According to police, the men went inside a smoke shop at 1740 Lafayette Ave. around 2 a.m. and opened fire on a 22-year-old man.

When first responders arrived at the scene, we’re told they found that customer with a bullet wound in the leg. He was taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi to be treated for his injuries that we’re told are nonlife-threatening.

Police say by the time they arrived at the scene, the suspects had already run away.

Anyone with information on the shooting are asked to call police.
