A 22-year-old woman from Brooklyn, New York, was arrested for leaving her infant child unattended last week in Secaucus, according to police.

On Feb. 14, authorities say security at the Meadowlands Exposition Center on Plaza Drive reported the infant child being left alone. They say the infant was in a stroller in the lobby of the entrance inside the building, but before entrance doors of the actual expo.

Police say they located the mother inside the event.

They say the woman was issued a summons for endangering the welfare of a child and she was released from police custody.

The infant was released into the custody of the father, according to police, but the Division of Child Protection and Permanency was notified of the incident.
