Attacker on the run after slashing man’s face on Coney Island

Police say a man was fatally shot Wednesday afternoon outside of the Brownsville Houses in Brooklyn.

According to the NYPD, a 37-year-old man was found unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the torso at 284 Sutter Ave. around 11:15 a.m.

He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No word on the whereabouts of the shooter.
