Brooklyn drivers beware – a big portion of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway will not be open for the majority of the weekend.

The closure will start at Atlantic Avenue and will end at Sands Street in Downtown Brooklyn. The closure begins at 2 a.m. Saturday and will end Monday at 4 a.m. Staten Island-bound lanes will be open.

The DOT says the closure is due to repairing one and a half miles of the roadway.
