Brooklyn artist, USPS team up for new Forever stamps for spring, wedding seasons

A Brooklyn-based artist is working with the United States Postal Service to design a pair of Forever stamps for the spring and wedding seasons.
The next time you mail or receive a letter, you might want to pay close attention to the stamp. There's a chance it was designed by Kim Parker, an artist whose work has been all over the world but started in her Brooklyn apartment.
Parker is constantly surrounded by flowers in her apartment.
"It started out as just a love for painting them as designs and exploring color. But then eventually I recognized that the gardens I was painting were really short stories about my own life," she says.
She studied music professionally for a long time, but her love for painting was blooming. Her floral prints grew all over the world - landing on fashion runways, wallpapers, rugs, cushions and dishes under famous brands such as J. Crew, Gap and Macy's.
Her flowers are traveling the world again, but this time on envelopes. The email came from the USPS asking her to design a pair of Forever stamps for the spring and wedding seasons. Her two stamps are called Celebration Blooms and Wedding Blooms.
