Police: Apparent car accident kills 77-year-old Sheepshead Bay man
Surveillance video acquired by News 12 show the victim opening his door as he appears to be getting out of the vehicle.

An apparent car accident in Sheepshead Bay killed a 77-year-old man on Thursday evening, according to the NYPD.
The incident took place at the corner of Avenue W and Ocean Avenue.
Police initially believed the man was struck while getting into his car at around 4:30 p.m. But surveillance video acquired by News 12 shows the man opening his door as he appears to be getting out of the vehicle. The SUV in the video begins to roll, and the video shows the man getting dragged by that car.
News 12 is still awaiting for an official report on the incident from the Highway District Collision Investigation Squad.
