Long Island residents face a myriad of issues due to global tech outage

The global tech outage impacted Long Islanders and caused problems ranging from fueling up at the pump to coffee orders.

Raj Shah, of Hicksville, said some friends were supposed to be flying to Long Island to celebrate his engagement, but they can’t make it anymore because of the airport issues.

Chris Alamia, of Oceanside, said he couldn’t use his Starbucks mobile app.

Jim Fornaro, of Plainview, said his car had almost no gas and when he went to the pump, and discovered he that he couldn't fuel up.

Aaron Stein owns Norton & Seigel Inc., an insurance company in Babylon. He said they were unable to access the website of some companies and were unable to quote a couple of their carriers.
